You don't have to choose between survival and support

I absolutely loved working with Tiara of Crowned & Cradled. I was an experienced mom of two but wanted to try breastfeeding with my third. Tiara was there every step of the way answering any and all questions I had during the pregnancy. Most importantly, she was there after, easing concerns, and recommending products and techniques to aid in milk production. There were times when it was hard and I wanted to call it quits, but she was always there to encourage me. I truly appreciate her support and I would recommend any new or experienced mom to lean on Crowned & Cradled for their doula and lactation support needs.

Being a first time mother, I wanted everything to go right when it came to taking care of my newborn. But of course, you have problems. Weather it was my baby not latching on, what to give a newborn with a fever or simply what am I doing wrong that can make the situation right. Your mother may have all the answers but it can be a little over the top than it seems they take over. I wanted to learn, not to be told what to do.
I contacted Tiara because I knew she was not only a good friend but a mother of three. We could relate more which means she would help me and not take over. Her advice and solutions made me more confident as a mother. When I would freak out because my baby developed little whelps or has a high fever, she would calmly assist with the situation and remind me "it’s normal, all babies go through this". I really thank her for being patient with me and just being there for me. Thanks T.

I contacted Tiara when my newborn stopped nursing on one side. She came to my house the next day! Tiara was very thorough. We discussed not only my baby’s medical history but my own as well. She watched me nurse and then offered suggestions. We got my baby back nursing from both sides! That evening she emailed a summary of our visit and what my goals were. Tiara continues to check on us and offer support. I highly recommend her for lactation consultation.

Tiara is a lifesaver! She provides me with training, advice, and reassurance when my friends and family could not. She always responds in a timely manner and is very thorough. I needed help with positions, pumping; bottle feeding, soothing, etc. Tiara was able to provide me with information for everything! She is always helpful, positive, informative, and encouraging.

What stood out the most was how she spoke to me with warmth and encouragement, like a trusted friend who truly cared. Her reassurance and expert guidance gave me the confidence to keep going, even when things felt tough. I’m deeply appreciative that she never gave up on me and helped me believe in myself as a mother.
I truly can’t recommend her enough to any new parent navigating their feeding journey. She made all the difference.
Tiara literally RESCUED my infant feeding journey. Both my baby and I were medically complex and when other lactation consultants gave up on us Tiara swooped in!
She acknowledged our potential challenges and helped set realistic infant feeding goals. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, empowering…just amazing. I learned so much about lactation from her. And one of the best parts…she does home visits!! 🙌🏾
It is because of Tiara that we are 4 months into a happy and healthy feeding journey.
If you are looking for a Black-owned lactation and doula service Crowned and Cradled is THE ONE. I will definitely be calling her for my next pregnancy and will be referring my own patients to her in the future.
